We’re pleased to announce this virtual event in collaboration with the US Embassy of Singapore.
U.S. Embassy Singapore invites you to register for the free virtual screening of the Oscar-nominated documentary film “Hale County This Morning, This Evening” by award-winning photographer and director RaMell Ross.
An inspired and intimate portrait of a place and its people, the film looks at the lives of Daniel Collins and Quincy Bryant, two young African American men from rural Hale County, Alabama, over the course of five years. Collins attends college in search of opportunity while Bryant becomes a father to an energetic son.
You are invited to experience their experiences, their everyday lives, their highs and lows, joys and sorrows. These moments combine to communicate the region’s deep culture and provide glimpses into the lives of this particular African American community.
This film will be available to watch for free in Singapore from March 19 to March 28, 2021. (Registration required).
